Impact Fairfield County’s goal for its membership is to provide the opportunity to engage in local philanthropy on a broader and deeper level than they could as individuals. Your gift, combined with those of hundreds of women, delivers life-changing grants of $100,000 or more to individual local non-profit organizations. You’ll experience the pride of knowing you played a part in making it happen.

Each member contributes $1,100 – consisting of a $1,000 donation to our grant funding pool and a $100 contribution to help cover membership operating costs – and the funds are pooled in order to make large, transformational grants of $100,000 to local nonprofits each year in May. Members will determine the grant recipients through a vote of the membership after a rigorous grant review process by volunteer committee members. Finalists not awarded an Impact FFC Grant will receive a general operating grant.

We realize $1,100 is a “stop and think” gift. That is by design. For many of our members, $1,100 represents a sacrifice, and intentional budgeting is needed to make a charitable gift of this size. But women from all walks of life from all parts of Fairfield County choose to make this contribution, as they have seen year after year the difference an Impact FFC Grant can make. The goal is for members to feel fully invested in and connected to their giving, and the transformational grants that result from it.

To become a member of Impact Fairfield County you must be a woman at least 18 years old and reside in Fairfield County, CT. Membership contributions are due by December 31st to participate in the grant review process for grants distributed the following spring. Additional contributions to further support our operating expenses and to enhance our grants are greatly appreciated. However, regardless of your level of giving, each member has one vote for the grant finalists. Impact FFC is a non-profit organization and all donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

Your membership contribution can be processed via ACH transfer (our preferred method to help us save on fees and provide more funding to grants!); credit card; paid via check, donor advised fund or foundation; or paid in installments via a pre-arranged series of credit card charges. Note: regardless of selected method of payment, all women need to complete a Membership Form each year.
