October

Impactful Conversations: No Place Like Home Wednesday October 4th 12:00pm - 2:00pm

  • Meet us at the Darien Library for a light lunch and an informative and inspiring update from an expert panel of current and past Impact FFC grantees about how they have tapped into their creativity and highlighted their strengths to navigate the ever-changing challenges in our communities and to provide much needed and continually evolving services to their constituents.

Volunteer with nOURish BRIDGEPORT Wednesday October 18th 12:00pm - 4:00pm

  • Join us for an inspiring afternoon with our Grantee, nOURish BRIDGEPORT. First, we will tour their Hydroponic Greenhouse, followed by a pizza lunch, and then we will volunteer to prepare and staff their Super Food Pantry and Baby Center.

Informational Coffee Tuesday October 24th 10:00am - 11:30am

  • Head to Aux Délices at the Bruce Museum in Greenwich to connect and chat with Impact members. A casual open house to meet other members in your area, bring a friend who’s new to Impact or make a plan to meet someone you haven’t seen in a while.

Impact Xtra: Virtual Book Discussion Thursday October 26th 7:00pm via Zoom

  • Join us via Zoom to discuss The French House by Helen Fripp.

 

November

Fall Kickoff Wednesday November 8th 10:00am - 12:00pm

  • Join us at the Stamford Nature Center to hear from our 2023 Grantees, sign up for volunteer engagement opportunities, and meet other Impact FFC members.

Volunteer with The Center for Empowerment and Education Monday November 13th

  • Bring non-perishable Thanksgiving Food Drive items and help pack and organize the donations in Westport.

Deadline to Join LOI Stage of Review Committee Tuesday November 14th

  • Returning Review Committee members can join an RC early to evaluate Letters of Inquiry (LOIs) submitted for Impact FFC Grants, if membership is renewed by this date.

Informational Coffee Wednesday November 15th 10:00am - 12:00pm

  • A second opportunity to meet other members in your area, bring a friend who’s new to Impact or make a plan to meet someone you haven’t seen in a while. Coffee will be held at The Norwalk Art Space.

 

December

LOI Committee Training Friday December 8th 9:30am - 11:00am

  • Training for Review Committee members participating in early review process.

Membership Deadline Sunday December 31st

  • Last day to join as a member and participate in the Grant Review Process.

 

January

  • LOIs evaluated by Review Committee members.

Financial Review Committee Training Wednesday January 10th

  • Financial Review Committee members only.

Impact Xtra: New Year Wellness Wednesday January 17th 1:00pm - 2:30pm

  • Join fellow Impact members and friends for a healthy lunch and an exploration of ways to bring meditation practice, gentle healing movement, and mindfulness to our everyday lives. We will come together at Saraswati’s Yoga Studio to meet an SYJ teacher and an expert meditation facilitator from Community Mindfulness Project.

Social Coffees Tuesday January 23rd 10:00am - 12:00pm

  • More connection in 2023! Whether you are participating on a Review Committee and want to learn more or just excited to check in with Impact FFC friends, these New Year coffees will give us all another opportunity to get together. Meet us at one of two locations: Coffee for Good in Greenwich and Kneads in Westport.

Impact Education Extra Wednesday January 24th 12:30pm - 2:00pm

  • Join us for an informative and interactive presentation by Dr. Tanya Hills, Director of Learning and Evaluation at Fairfield County's Community Foundation. She will share data and context on the current state of equity and quality of life for Fairfield County residents, providing valuable learnings and insights to Impact FFC members as we begin our grant review process.

The State of Our Impact 2023-2024 Wednesday January 31st 12:00pm - 1:00pm

  • A Webinar from our Co-Presidents to announce our total membership and grant dollars for 2024 and to provide a brief update on our current grantees.

 

February

Review Committee Training Thursday February 1st 7:00pm - 8:00pm OR Friday February 2nd 9:30am - 10:30am

  • Review Committee members only.

Impactful Conversations Wednesday February 8th 9:30am - 11:00am

  • Join us at the Stamford Square Conference Center (3001 Summer Street) for a conversation with Cara During from the Center for Education and Empowerment along with another panelist from Danbury Health and Human Services to discuss the challenges of preventative work to end interpersonal violence. We will explore the critical need to understand risk and protective factors and link this conversation to the public health issue created by interpersonal violence.

Financial Review Committee Meeting Monday February 26th 5:30pm - 8:30pm

  • Financial Review Committee members conduct financial review of applicants.

Review Committee Meetings Wednesday February 28th

  • Review Committee members evaluate full proposal applications and select those for site visits.

 

March

Site Visits Monday March 4th - Monday April 8th

  • Review Committee and Financial Review Committee members visit with nonprofit applicants.

 

April

Review Committee Meetings Thursday April 11th

  • Review Committee members select finalists.

 

May

Grant Awards Celebration Wednesday May 8th 9:30-11:30

  • Finalist presentations and grant awards.
